If it doesn't happen among animals, that doesn't mean it's against nature, because among humans it apparently happens and we are a part of nature. Also, animals do loads of things that people don't - they eat their food raw, they're often cannibals and others. But that doesn't mean we should do it the same way, does it? We're people, we're intelligent, we have a soul, a right to be happy, that we are able to sense. That's another thing which differs us from animals. We got this amazing gift to make use of it and develop it, not just to blindly follow the sexual instinct and reproduce. Every one of us has their place on Earth, everyone is special, senses things differently, has their own story, feels differently, needs different things.People need a soulmate, someone, who would understand them completely and who they could tell everything to. But friends find another friends, partners, who they want to spend a lot of time with. And I don't know how about you but I could never tell some things to a man. However, I know there are women who can and all of that is okay.
People have their needs and when those are not satisfied, drought comes. And a mental mess.
And if someone finds it disgusting, why would anyone else care? I think cabbage is disgusting and I don't force other people not to eat it, right?
When I fall in love with someone it's because of their personality not because of their genitals.
Something for the christians
There's 6 probable references to homosexuality in the Bible. Half of them is in the Old testament, along with another ones which we find meaningless and insignificant today, for example divorce and remarriage, gossip, unobedience to parents, overeating, alcohol, saying things like "for God's sake", any kind of physical work on a Sunday, tattoos, eating not perfectly processed food like steaks and finally my favourite ones - we can't even touch a girl who's on her period and we can not put on two pieces of clothing that are from a different material.
So we can consider these references (Genesis 19, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13) about homosexuality not applicable and that's mostly for even Jesus performed most of the activities mentioned above (who was holy) plus in Hebrews there's written that the Old testament is outdated and many of it's commandments do not apply anymore. Jesus cancled them.
And in the New testament there are only passages talking about homosexual intecourse, only about pure hard sex, not love, only rape, passion for psychisal, not friendship, trust and commitment.
2.
The supreme commandment of them all is "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself." Everything else is less important than that. And of course the statement "God hates homosexuals" is not true. God loves everyone.
3. let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Fun fact at the end
In the writing Symposion Platon mentions a legend according which a long time ago 3 genders lived in the world: male, female and hermaphrodite. The hermaphrodites were too strong, they stood up agains Gods on Olymp. The Gods got mad and decided to punish everyone the same. They cut all of the people in two. Ever since each half is looking for their other half like a puzzle. Man + man, woman + woman and hermaphrodites man + woman.Platon doesn’t appreciate the love between male and a female as much, he thinks that love between the same genders is something more meaningful, purer, more altruistic because one is not enchained by family duties and so they can focus on improving their qualities, the higher good or (the most splendid one) educating their partner. Because as Platon says, real love tries to take their significant other to their own spiritual level.
